A Little About Me

My name is Krista Lortie. I have been a licensed Nail Technician since 2003. I obtained my license here in Yakima then moved to Seattle to study with Gene Juarez where I received advanced training and attended a number of his continued education programs. It was through these programs that I became certified in Shellac and Reflexology. I continued working and studying there for four and a half years. In 2010, I decided to move back to Yakima to be closer to my family and spent the next five years providing a variety of nail services at A'laMode Spa & Salon.

In 2013, I got the opportunity to go back to school for Esthetics and jumped on it. Because I wanted to expand my available services list, I worked hard to receive my Master Esthetician License in early 2014.

After a lot of thought, in November of 2015, I decided it was time to venture off and start my own spa business. My family is very important to me. At the time, I had two active teenagers so having my own business has afforded me the ability to have a flexible schedule and take the necessary time to be there for my family and guild them to be the amazing adults they are today.  I wouldn't have had it any other way.

After being on my own for a few years and gaining the skills to run a business I have been awarded the opportunity to open The Zen Den.
